Natural Resource priority: Forestry ecosystem services

Why is this a concern and what is the location: Forest structure and composition impact the ecosystem services forests can provide. Current conditions support uncharacteristic high-intensity wildfires, which are detrimental to numerous ecosystem services such as safe living spaces, watershed health/water quality, native plant diversity, and wildlife habitat diversity.

Three Year Goal(s): Promote and implement science-based land management strategies that will put the forest on a trajectory to sustainably provide ecosystem services upon which we depend.
