From Our Lands to Your Hands is a hands-on, interactive workshop that introduces students to local farmers, ranchers, and growers, as well as the organizations that help put conservation on the land and food on their tables.
During the first week of November, over 700 students are invited to partake in the event. Kids will participate in 10 - 15 interactive presentations given by local farmers, ranchers, growers, ag/conservation organizations, and agencies to all help broaden students enrichment and agriculture literacy.
The event is hosted annually by the "From Our Lands to Your Hands - Jefferson County" Planning Committee, which is a partnership between JCD and a number of other local conservation/agriculture-related agencies and organizations such as CSU Extension, NRCS, and Farm Service Agency. This event would not be possible without the valuable assistance of sponsors and volunteers.
